Once Upon a Time there were five pairs of colorful boots that went to the zoo. The giraffes stuck out their purple tongues. The lions lazily rolled in the grass. The monkeys scared the otters out from the water and the zebras sleepily drank their morning coffee.

The houses are constructed. The icing glue is set. Cousins are waiting patiently at the dining room table, resisting attempts to get into the building materials: red and black licorice, sour patch kids, jujubes, and snowcaps. Soon the butter knives are in hand and the fun begins! Globs of icing lazily hold a candy here…

What do Cinderella pumpkins, honey bears in forests, and gorgeous weddings have in common? October. It has been awhile since I have written a “Tracking” post, but October has inspired the theme once again. It was a fun-filled month of festivities. Exhibit 1: A hot October for trips to the beach.
