Lego Land is Awesome!

Lego Land is Awesome!

Kids, they’re awesome! Florida, it’s awesome! Vacation, it’s awesome! Everything is awesome when you’re part of a team!*

Lego Land was, well, awesome! Blocks and blocks of vibrant colors in varying sizes greeted us. Classic displays of Legos wowed the Mini Macks as we slowly made our way into the park that was once a Cypress Gardens overlooking a vast lake.

A two-story carousel with knightly Lego horses twirled valiantly as happy riders rode courageously further into the park. Acres of land displayed the world’s busiest cities in Lego scale: space centers, New York City, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and even far off galaxies of Endor, Hoth, and Tatooine.

lego6_Fotor_Collage.jpgThe real bravery began as Ryder attempted his first rollercoaster of the park and a quote I once heard never proved truer, “Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgment that something else is more important than fear.”  Apparently Ryder was operating in that mindset.

The courage paid off and the joy of coasting was soon under his belt. The Coastersaurus was a big hit and worth waiting in line for many times over. We played our hand at a ball toss to win a Peppa Pig for Cody, only to win a puppy, Peppa, and a black bear. Let’s just say the Lego Land staff are out of this world, from start to finish just a great bunch of people! One could go as far to say, “They’re awesome!”

peppa2_Fotor_Collage.jpgWe adventured through safaris with life-sized Lego wildlife, my favorite were the giraffes. Cody found the Lost Kingdom Adventure “gross” (which I think is tough-guy for “scared out of my diaper”), whereas Ryder and Rory wanted to ride it “again!”. The Dragon roller coaster was a huge hit. A super speedy roller coaster on a classic medieval green Lego dragon who is storming the miniature gray castle. Peasants and chickens, knights and squires, are there to defend their land! Rory and Ryder both thought it was “awesome!”.

Quest for Chi was soaking fun for everyone in our boat. I may or may not have used Cody as a human shield against our enemies who were firing from dry land as we braved the rough waters against the enemies to defend the chi.

Cody and Rory enjoyed the little water area and many Lego stations in Duplo Valley. Short lines and friendly workers kept the experience topnotch. Lego Land was everything the Mini Macks had hoped for and more. A 150 acre park that advertises awesomeness for kids ages 2-12 was exactly that! The line queues all had Lego building stations for little builders while parents held the kids’ spots in line. Lego figurines could be traded with staff members throughout the park and toddler play areas were expertly stationed near the rides for taller builders. An awesome park the Mini Macks recommend again and again!

Plus, Ryder found his golden ticket to the park last September in the Lego Movie box, buy one get one convinces his mother every time!
